Your dogs are truly beautiful I have a boxer my self and he means as much to me as they mean to you. And I do not know what I would do without him he is the best and I know exactly what you are talking about.
Thank you for showing people that they are really nice dogs.

Hi everyone,
Have ordered my new boxer for a companion for my currrent boxer called Kim. Cant wait to have a puppy around again but I'm sure I'll have my work cut out once again!
I'm getting a male, any ideas for a name from anyone?

Call me biased Cath, but I think Steve is a cool name for a dog! My two are George and Stan.

Hi there Guest, Sk and Taylor. Thanks for commenting and your sentiments. I'm sure your Boxer wouldn't know what to do without you either Taylor.
Ello Cathryn!
Not sure I could have thought of any great names. I kinda always meant to name a dog after one of the Dwarves in The Hobbit.
Kili, Fili or Nori perhaps.
Hugo sounds a great name though, good choice. I like Stan too.

HI
SORRY IT HAS TAKEN ME SO LONG TO KEEP YOU UP TO DATE ABOUT TYLER, BUT WE STILL IN THE SAME BOAT.HE HAS HAD 2 SMALL OPS ON HIS LEFT EAR. TODAY I WENT BACK TO MY VET. HE SAID THAT THINGS ARE NOT LOOKING TO GOOD.
I DONT NOW THINK THAT TYLER IS IN PAIN. HE HAS NOT GONE FOR ANYONE AND NOW LIKES TO BE TOUCHING WHEN HE SLEEPS, SO AS SOFT AS I AM I HAVE BEEN SLEEPING DOWN STAIRS WITH HIM. WELL AS HARD AS IT IS I GOT TO GIVE HIM EVERY CHANCE I CAN SO ON THURSDAY HE IS GOING TO BRISTOL FOR A MRI SCAN. I CAN PUT UP WITH HIM ILL IF I KNOW THAT HE WILL GET BETTER. BUT I CAN NOT SEE HIM SUFFER IF IT IS HIS BRAIN. WHICH I NOW FEEL IT IS. HIS SPIRIT HAS GONE I NEVER SEE HIS TAIL WAG ANY MORE.
I DONT THINK I WOULD EVER HAVE ANY MORE DOG'S THIS IS TO HARD. AND I AM SOMEONE WHO HAS ALWAYS HAD DOG IN MY LIFE. WISH US LUCK. I WILL DO WHAT EVER IS BEST FOR HIM, HOW EVER MUCH I PAIN IT WILL BE TO ME AND MY FAMILY TYLER WILL NOT SUFFER.
{LEECOT/THE ONE AND ONLY} HIS FULL NAME AND HE IS.

Cerianne
I can understand your comments about not having another dog - but the old saying is true about time being a great healer.
As i'm writing this my Old Dob of 12 who has sufferd a lot over the years (wobblers at 8 - £2000 spine op uninsured + distemper at 10) is lying in front of the fire sleeping next to my son of 18 - two great friends, now Kane has given us so much fun over the years its our turn to look after him - the second DOB i have had the first one for 14 years - passed away with his head resting on my feet in front of the fire....i said i would never have another dog - but after 6 months another dog picked me ...so do the best for your dog towards the end ...the odds are he will return in your next one.

THANK YOU FOR ANSWERING
IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR DOG HAS SUFFERED OVER THE YEARS BUT HAS COME ON GREAT. IT MAKES ME A BIT ASHAMED AS IF I HAVE GIVEN UP ON TYLER. I HAVE NOT GIVEN UP, I JUST NEED TO SEE THAT TAIL WAG AGAIN. I THINK THE DOG THAT YOU HAD THAT PASSED AWAY ON YOUR FEET IN FRONT OF THE FIRE WAS A HAPPY DOG AND WOULD NOT HAVE HAD IT ANY OTHER WAY. TYLER IS SO THIN NOW SOME DAYS I CANT GET HIM TO EAT. IT IS AS IF HE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO PICK FOOD UP. FOR THE LAST WEEK I HAVE FEED HIM BY HAND. ALL I CAN GET HIM TO EAT AT THE MOMENT ARE CHIPS. I KNOW THAT IS NOT THE BEST BUT I HAVE TRIED EVERY THING.
I HOPE TO SEND A LETTER TO THIS SITE WITH GOOD NEWS SOON. I READY ALL THE OTHER AND THEY REALLY MAKE ME SMILE.
HAS ANYONE THAT RIGHTS IN, EVER HAD GOOD NEWS FROM THESE MRI SCANS.?

Commiserations Cerianne. I know it was the hardest decision you ever made, but it had to be done, for your boy.

Hi Folks, especially Cerianne.
Sorry I've not been around much, I have a lot of work on right now. It is nice to see you all talking to each other, supporting those that need it.
Cerianne, I don't know what to say. Except I wish it wasn't so. Like Steve said, I guess it was the hardest decision to make but certainly the best decision given how things stood.
You did well by Tyler and he couldn't have had a better life. Without you his last while here would have been harder by far.
Reminds me of my Lottie who died similarly. Though she was quite old. Not sure if I mentioned that before as I didn't want to bring you down.
I should say though for Lee's benefit that Lottie never had fits. She did have a tumour in her head, but the obvious symptoms were her unable to rest and circling. No Fits.
So Lee, try not to worry overly. I'm sure there can be umpteen reasons for fits. I'd be pretty positive about it. Hopefully you'll know more soon. Do let us know.
Hello Maddie, pleased to meet you!
Adrian, good to meet you too and I second what you say about time. So Who knows Cerianne. Maybe one day in the future you'll look on things differently regarding another dog.
Again I'm so sorry things turned out as they did for Tyler. Thing to always remember of course is you wouldn't have had it any other way.
You wouldn't have wanted to have had a life without Tyler. No matter what you've had to go through recently. And Tyler, he wouldn't have wanted to have his life without you and your family.

Cerianne hope it gets a little easier as the days pass.
Fits -Lee my fathers Boxer 'Bruce' didnt so much have fits but faint after a bout of running with other dogs when he fot to about six years old - his tongue would go blue, the solution was not to let him run loose - however whilst being the softest dog out woth Kids he couldnt resist a fight if another dog didnt accept his dominance - however he would then faint immediatly after he was seperated ( i think he had worked out that we wouldnt be mad at him after a fainting fit!!!)

Hi Paul and everyone, Cerianne how very sad about Tyler. Believe me I know what you are going through having been there myself when we lost our little Baby Suzy last August. It sounds trite but time is a great healer. Well I have some good news we got our new little baby Pixie, last weekend. She is wonderful as I said fully white with a brown patch over her right eye and one brown spot on her shoulder. I believe she thinks that Boris is her mother. He on the other hand is not 100% sure about her yet, gets a bit jealous when we give her attention so we have to overload him with attention but that's easy as he is adorable. She settled in very well we thought that she would be missing her mother and brother terribly but she really seems to be o.k. Her previous "mother" tells us that her brother is really missing her and whimpering a lot his name is Rufus I thought that a lovely name for a male boxer. Going off on a bit of a tangent here but I think someone was looking for names, if I had another male boxer I would call him Spencer - what a wonderful noble name. Anyway back to Pixie, I don't think that she ever saw cats before and cannot quite make them out. Tiger hisses at her and she goes off crying (she is only a baby after all). The first four nights she slept with us but last night she slept in her own bed right through until 5.30 (when Tiger woke her up, not sure quite what happened but there was a bit of crying going on), anyway she came in with us for the last hour and there wasn't a bother on her. Boris has decided that her new bed is his but I suppose you can't blame him as he was here first. Did I mention that she had a hairline fracture in her back leg before we got her, we were fully away of this and decided that we wanted her anyway. She sometimes has problems putting it down on the ground but I think that this is because it is still weak from the plaster cast. Anyway everything is great and we are looking forward to spending the weekend with our two wonderfule little babies. Have a great weekend. Bye for now.
Margaret.

Hello to you, boxer lovers;
As you, I can't imagine my life without my boxer. Shannon (Stone) in now 8 years old and thanks God she is in top condition. It is now 3 pm (Belgium time) and she is barking in the garden. I am a little bit worried because she has here and there some little excrescences on the skin. The vet told me that was frequent with Boxers. Now, I think it's time for her to have her little walk in the fields. So, bye-bye and till next time. JM Colleye

Hello JM Colleye,
I'm sure i know you from somewhere. Did you post here before? Anyway I hope Shannon is doing well and the excretions have gone.
Margaret how you doing?
Sounds like life's a peach at yours right now. I have a feeling it won't be long till Pixie is bossing Boris and Tiger around. Just give her a chance to get her legs and feel more comfortable. I reckon also that Boris will pretty much accept her as boss before long.
That is to say letting her get away with murder and letting her think she rules. Except every now and then when he really wants to prove a point.
You're going to have so much fun.
Sorry to hear Pixies leg was damaged. Did they say how the fracture happened?

Hi Paul and everyone, just to let you know what is happening in our household at the moment. Everything is great with our "new arrival" and Paul you were right, Pixie is now ruling the roost. Boris is putty in her hands, most of the time. She is wonderful, full of life and fun. Boris is a very big dog but she bites him, grabs hold of his lead while we are out walking jumps on top of him steals his "treats" and tries to steal his food. And you were right again he lets it goe so far and then he growls at her and lets her know that he is still "the Boss". She is also very stubborn and likes to get her own way with everyone, Boris is not like that at all and is such a well behaved dog. The cats are another matter, Boris usually keeps well away from them but she will go up close and stare at them, only to get a good smack of claws across her face, which I am afraid she deserves, she also tries to steal their food so you can image that situation. Anyway all is well and I am looking forward to spending the Easter break with them all. Have a great Easter Paul and look forward to talking soon.
