And they're split. Into as many different, separate, topics as was possible. However, because this thread contains many posts which reference several different conversations and several different people's posts in one piece of text.

Not every conversation can be reasonably split into it's own topic. Even if it might have made a good stand alone topic.

So if in places the flow of this topic seems odd or that there may be missing posts that is why. There are still plenty of nice, happy, sad and everything in between posts and conversations left in this topic.

In fact some of the most important posts. Especially about peoples loses and their new dogs (Mine too.) are in this thread/topic to this day.

Hi, Im back again. We did decide to get the 2 sisters, a tan girl we called Bonnie and a white girl we called Milley. They were a handful and it has taken a lot of hard work but we are getting there with them and training is coming along nicely(ish!!) ;)
It was great to bring them home because the house was so empty after we lost Holly, and they both have such different characters, we have lots of fun with them every day.
Thanks Everyone

Hi Emma!

It's nice to hear from you again. Sounds like you're having a great time so I'm very glad you decided to get both the sisters rather than just the one.

If they lived together before it would have been a shame to split them up.

This way is best for both you and the girls.

Take care and give Bonnie and Milley hugs for me!

Hi Paul and everyone, just to let you know what is happening in our household at the moment. Everything is great with our "new arrival" and Paul you were right, Pixie is now ruling the roost. Boris is putty in her hands, most of the time. She is wonderful, full of life and fun. Boris is a very big dog but she bites him, grabs hold of his lead while we are out walking jumps on top of him steals his "treats" and tries to steal his food. And you were right again he lets it goe so far and then he growls at her and lets her know that he is still "the Boss". She is also very stubborn and likes to get her own way with everyone, Boris is not like that at all and is such a well behaved dog. The cats are another matter, Boris usually keeps well away from them but she will go up close and stare at them, only to get a good smack of claws across her face, which I am afraid she deserves, she also tries to steal their food so you can image that situation. Anyway all is well and I am looking forward to spending the Easter break with them all. Have a great Easter Paul and look forward to talking soon.

Hi Margaret!

It's good to hear from you and to know things are going so well for you and the whole family. :)

It all sounds so much fun.

I got a bit of that experience again at the weekend when I spent time with my brother and his family. We took all the dogs up the woods and it was very much like that between Murphy and Betty. :D

So yeah Easter has been pretty good and I hope for you too.

Unfortunately though Rosie will be going in for an operation on April the first (Nice date eh?) .

She acts completely fine seems in tip top shape but a large lump appeared just off her chest. Near one of her nipples. The vet says it's best to remove it.

Anyway it should be fine she's fit and it's a minor surgery. I admit I'm a bit nervous of it though.

Speak to you soon Margaret!

Hi Kirsten and Natalie! :)

Nice to see some faces round here and I'm very glad to hear Reggie is still going strong.

So sorry to hear about Pippi though, did it happen recently?

I'm going to be taking Rosie to the vets in just over an hour from now to have a look at a lump I've discovered on her. A worrying one, reasonably large and quite hard. So as I say, worrying.

I think probably they'll want to remove it as a precaution. Which would be right I guess but I don't want her going through another operation. She's not young. Not old exactly but not young.

Well we'll see, I'll post back about it tonight.

Later folks!

Edit

Well nothing new to tell yet. The vet took some sort of sample with a syringe and we'll find out in about 10 days what they have to say when we take her back.

Hey Kirsten and Natalie! I'm from Scotland, about 40 minutes to an hour outside of Glasgow.

No, no one really posts here any more, just every now and then. It hit it's peak about 2 or 3 years ago. That's ok though. There are a ton of other places to go talk with Boxer people and this was never meant to be a big huge site with a ton of users.

It was really for remembering the dogs that are no longer with me and I just happened to add some other bits and pieces.

Got good news this morning from the vet. Rosie's lump is nothing to worry about.

I can't remember what exactly he said it was now but apparently they checked the results twice and it's nothing to worry about. That's all that's important.

:)

Thank you Mr. Vet!

Hi Paul, Margaret Reilly here. I haven't been in touch for quite a while.
That was great news about Rosie I am sure it was a very worrying time
for you. My two are great. Pixie has settled down a bit (we managed a
Christmas tree this year without her ending up being the "angel" on top
of it) Boris is just the very best he is such a good dog. They are the
best of friends and don't often have falling outs anymore. They got
plenty of good long walks over the Christmas break hich was wonderful
for us all. Great to talk to you again. Happy New Year and a great 2009
to you and yours.

Happy new year to you too Margaret! :) Hope you had a good festive season. Well I don't need to hope, you just told me it was wonderful. :)

We had a pretty good time all in all too. Rosie got to play with Murphy and Betty. Which doesn't happen all that often. Probably a good thing as she and Betty don't get on that well. You can't have food around them when they're together.

Yes it was great news about here lump. Though somehow it's still a little worrying because it's there and quite obvious. Well to someone who knows her anyway.

In any case it was good and I'm really happy top hear from you and that you've had such a great time. :)

Give Pixie and Boris big hugs from me. :)

Hi Margaret! :)

Really glad things are so good for you. More importantly Boris and Pixie are ok. :P :)

Yeah, things are ok here too. Rosie is perhaps a little older and fatter. She has a lot of lumps too but apparently they're ok. Certainly she seems happy.

She got into my mothers knitting today... Should have taken a picture of it. :D

Not taken any pictures of her in ages but here are some of the last i remember putting up. -

Hi Paul I am really out of touch and only seeing your message of
October 3rd now. Rosie is a real beauty the photos are great. So glad
that all is well. Had mine out in the rain yesterday, it wasn't a bad day
when we started out but then there was a down pour and it was very
windy Pixie hates the wind and rain she kept ducking and looking up at
us for help but we just had to keep walking as we were a long way from
the car she just kept looking up at me as if to say "carry me" so I told
her that if she was smaller and lighter I would carry her !!!!! she
really appreciated her bed last night I can tell you. Boris is great and is
just as well behaved as ever. I will keep in touch from now on.
Regards, Margaret. :P

Sorry it took a while to reply Margaret. :)

Nice to hear from you! You must be looking forward to Christmas with two mad Boxers in the house.

Well one mad one at any rate. Boris sounds a lot less crazy than Pixie.

There's no rush to keep in touch you know, as long as you do when you can that's great. :)

Hey Margaret! :)

Hi Boris! Hi Pixie! :D :D

Things are ok here now. More or less. I lost Rosie on February the 17th though. So, things haven't been good.

Still maybe not as bad now with a little bit of distance than some other times. I dunno. I don't feel guilty this time, as I did with some others, which helps.

I'm so glad yours are doing well. :)

What age is Boris now and what's the alternative remedy you referenced? You never know it might be useful for me to know about one day. :)

Speak to you later Margaret. :)

Paul so sorry to hear about Rosie they just break your heart. Not quite sure how old Boris is as he is a rescue dog but we reckon he was about two and a half when we got him so I think he might be around seven or eight now the name of the stuff I have him on is Mobilise DS I got it on the Internet it has a variety of ingredients including glucosamine and vitamin c and he is doing well on it. Will you get another Boxer do you think? Life is not so good without them I feel. Talk soon. Margaret.

No, it's not so good.

I don't know though. It's difficult. I'm getting tired of loosing dogs. I've still got Ben which isn't the same because he's not a Boxer. Sorry Ben but it's true.

She was also the last of my aunts dogs.

So I dunno, not really decided yet.

Thanks for the tip on the Mobilise. :)
