Thank you Nina, yes Jason isn't too great with other dogs, he's ok off the lead, but ifhe meets strange dogs while on it he can be unpredictable at times. But he is allways great with dogs he knew well
Hi Mendy and Tim!
I believe there are a great many white boxers out there, once upon a time the were rare but i see more and more of them now. I miss lily terribly and would love to get another white boxer some time.
Thanks for taking time to comment.

Your site is great I love the pictures and the narrative seems so true of the boxer character. I have a big male boxer who is getting on in age now and I'm dreading the day when he isn't around any more, I've told that old man more things about my life than anyone will ever know and I've lost count of the times I've cried into his neck while he sits patiently with a paw on my shoulder. Wonderful dogs and you've given them a wonderful tribute.

Hi Nicola!
Thanks so much for the kind comments. I feel very much in the position as yourself. I only have Jason left and he's well past his prime now.
It prays on my mind alot that i may lose him soon. Maybe not though, he's pretty healthy and fit considering his growing laziness. So i'm hopeing for another couple of years and keeping my fingers crossed.
Thanks again!

Thanks Guest and Dave!
Sorry to hear your layed up, i hope your recovery is going well. yeah it's a good idea to learn as much as you can before getting a dog. It can be a lot of hard work, especially depending on your free time.
But i get the impression you've maybe owned dogs before.
best of luck with the rehab and your new doggie.

My two Boxers, Winston, nearly 11, and red and white and Remmie, nearly 7 and brindle are my world. To me, there is no other dog quite like a Boxer. They are everything, friend, companion, playmate, someone to pour your heart out to and best of all, they give you unconditional love

excellent web site man i love my boxer. The best bread in the world i've had german shepheards bulmastifs and afganhounds by far the boxer the best. He's so friendly, kind, lovable, HYPER, and just plain the best dog i've ever had. He's 80lbs Flashy fawn with white mask and totally ripped. He pulls me on my roller blades, about 3 kms per day. He keeps me in great shape and again the breed is stuck with me.

There are only 2 breeds of dogs, boxers and the rest. I lived in a hamlet in SW France with Miss. No street names/house numbers. My parents arrived on holiday and insisted on trying to find the house themselves. Stopping a local in the square they tried "Andy? Anglaise? Blonde?" etc. No response. Then inspiration struck. "Miss? Boxer?" "Ah, oui!" and directions to the house followed.
(One small criticism - send draft of next site to me for spelling corrections!) from me, Becky, Jojo and Marvin.

Jeromy hi!
Must be one super fit dog you have there. And i agree with you, well i would, woundn't i?
I've been looking after a rough colly for a goodfew months now and whilst he's definately growing on me. If i was picking a dog it'd be hard pressed not to pick a boxer.
Hi Andy, Becky, Jojo and Marvin and of course Miss!
lol yes those that know me make constant fun of my lacking spelling and grammer. It's really pretty unpardonable considering all i need to do is run it through a spellchecker.
Who knows i might just do that.
Boxers are certainly recognisable, i guess that although they are increasing in popularity, they're still not that common. And they do appear pretty distinctive.
It seems also that most people like or have a soft spot for them... Until they get drooled on.
Are they a common breed in France?

Love your page on Boxers. I have had a White and Brown Boxer for 7 1/2 years now. Her name is Fidget. Unfortunatly, She has Mast Cell Tumor in one of her toes and it has to be amputated tomorrow. I am hoping for the best since the Blood Work came back Negative in the blood Stream. Keep up the good works with the boxers.

Forgot to ask you , what are you feeding your boxers? We are looking for a healthier diet for ours. Something to keep her skin from drying out. Much appreciated.

Hi Chili!
Happy birthday to your doggie, i'm sure she'll be around a lot longer than your first. Jasons coat is great, smooth and shiney but i can't say that he gets feed anything special.
His main meals are dry dogfood. But a little oily fish now and then would do some good i think.
Hello Rob!
Thanks for stoping to comment. Hope everything has gone well with Fidget's toe and she's running around like a happy pup now! I've got my fingers crossed for luck.

Hi,
I have a beautiful and well-socialized 10 month old male with undescended testes. What is the current recommendation regarding castration and, if it is recommended, what is the timing?

Hi Felicia!
I wish you luck with your black pup, i'd be willing to bet that a few in the litter will be very dark overall.
Mark,
I'm no expert, however i believe if you're worried about them not having decended, then there's still time yet.
I had a similar issue with Jason (The only male boxer i've had) one of his testicles never did drop. It wasn't till he was seven or eight that he finaly got his removed and that was mainly because of the risk of cancer due to his particular problem.
However this is really far far later than it should be done, unless you're a breeder using the dog for stud obviously.
It may as well be done in the first year of the pups life.
In fact read this -

You'll need to copy and paste that link.

having read the comments, i thought i must add my own.
hes called lennox ( shortened to lenny, lenbo, lenny loo, and various other embarrassing names, hes a 10/11 year old brindle male.
hes my best friend, and for a lifetime of loyallty and affection, all he wants is a walk in the mornings, a drink after and something to eat for tea.
he went off dog food for some reason wouldnt touch it for love nor money so now he eats human food, chicken sardines, tuna (both good for the coat by the way ).
he started to settle down at about 6 or 7 that is to say he stopped running on the ceiling when i came in from work !! now he waggles his stump and shakes his ass pretty good !
hes friendly with the neighbours cat that lives to the left, lets it walk in the garden, even stops to say hello but will not tollerate the neighbours cat who lives to our right , strange, never could work it out, but true.
he has some funny traits for instance:
when out walking in the hills he'll stop, let me carry on walking until im almost out of sight then he'll run after me as if hes seen the devil.
when fun fighting with the daughter, no matter what the circumstances he will always protect her, giving me the old " you better not come any closer " growl and standing in between me and her, THANX ALOT MATE !!
hes had 2 fights im sorry to say ( off the lead dogs both times) and i can honestly say with a hand on my heart " i never thought he had it in him, a different dog, not the one that runs away if i pretend to hit him with a TWIG!

Hi Peter!
Sounds familiar, Jason is about the same age as Lennox. He's accrued various names in his time, jae, jace, jaby and many others not even remotely similar to his name.
It's really nice reading abiut peoples Boxers and as i say your boy reminds me much of my own.
Thanks for stopping by!

A great site, more piccys would be lovely as the ones displayed are excellent. I have two red boys, Henry & Enzo, they are priceless and could not imagine life without them. They are loving, playful and loyal, the best family pets you can have.

Thanks very much Lisa! Hello Henry and Enzo!
Pictures have been on the backburner for a long time, it's going to cost to get a new scanner and unfortunately there's other priorities at the moment
I'll see if i can't sort something soon though.
