Can you tell me what happened to Lily?? We have a white boxer also. We love him dearly. He is a terror also. This is our first boxer. Great website. I had to hold my tears back. Thanks !!

I can only take guesses, she took ill (off her food, not running around) and at first i thought nothing of it. Then she spent a whole night not really sleeping and in breathing difficulty.

The vet thought she may have eaten something and gave her a shot to calm her. She was to be brought back if it wasn't any better the next day.

In less than time than that it was obvious she wasn't getting any better She went back to the vets who was going to give her some xrays and if necisary operate.

Before he could she collapsed, when he performed an emergency operation she died of heart failure. Without an autopsy we couldn't be sure.

However when he opened her up for the emergency a great deal of fluid had came out. So perhaps perotonisis.

With hindsight i should have realised that it was serious long before i did. I still regret some things from that time. It may be if i had acted quicker initialy she would still be here now.
