Hi Paul, have any of your dogs had very very tiny lumps on their backs before? Its like the coat has a scuff and underneith a very small lump - he has a fair amount on his back. Also back to his acne it does'nt seem to be going - its quite swore as it bleeds but i don't want him to have any more antibiotics nor the skin scrape. How long do they have this acne for? Cheers Paul, thanks alot - David
If any one else has any idea it would be very much appreciated!!

Hi David,

No, well, not that sound like the trouble your having. Jason has many lumps and the like but they occurred over a long period of time as he got older. Not many appearing all at once. It's common for the older dogs to have various lumps.

He once as a young dog came out in huge golf ball size lumps all over but that too sounds very different.

What I would say David is that that combined with the acne. The fact that whatever these lumps are have just sprung up. It does seem it little worrying. Not anything to panic about I don't think. However I would see the vet again.

If the vet says antibiotics again that's ok. Don't worry about that David because they certainly won't do him any harm. And if they alleviate these problems so much the better.

Some questions David, are these tiny lumps under the skin or is there any visible thing on the skin surface? I'm not suggesting for a moment I know what either would suggest. I'm just interested.

Also do you think there's any possibility he's been sneaking at something he shouldn't? Dogs will eat the weirdest things and with the acne and now this problem together I thought that maybe it's a possibility.

Once again though David, I'm no expert on health issues, so my advice is usually the same. If your worried see the vet. I think in this instance with both symptoms at the same time I certainly would.

About the skin scrape I agree it doesn't sound great but if the vet suggests antibiotics again . Then later the acne comes back and is a serious problem. It may be you need to go down that route to try and find a permanent solution.

Sorry I don't have any helpfull advice David. Best of luck with this, I really hope these problems clear up soon for your poor pup. :)

Hi Paul
These little limps are like little tuffs of hair that are sticking up on his back, when you feel this they are tiny (barely feelable) lumps. There's no way he could of sneaked anything in the house however he does seem to sniff around outside alot. Cheers - thanks for your help - David

Hi Ciara, take your dog to the vets. :D Hey Kaziu, thanks for stopping by. :) David any improvement?

Hi Paul The ones on his back have seemed to settle down, he has a couple on his legs but i am not sure whether they are nettle stings. I took him out the other day and we had to walk passed nettles which we both made contact with. Thanks again
