Hi Chrissie Monroe,
I have always had cats, used to have four with my beautiful Boxer Suzy, there was never a problem, they all ignored each another.
I now have a much younger boxer (eighteen months), Boris and also two cats, my older cat Tiger is King of the Castle, anyway so he rules the roost. I have a younger cat "baby cat" and herself and Boris have a love hate relationship. He is a fine big fellow and she is tiny, but she is well able for him, she slaps him and spits at him every now and then and he runs after her if he gets the chance. So that's the way life is in our household. So I would say if you have cats go ahead and get your Boxer, it will be fun if nothing else, watching their antics.
Hi Paul hope you are well. Talk soon.
Margaret.

Hey Margaret!
Yeah I'm doing ok thanks, just seems I'm always busy or to be more accurate my online time has been.
Interesting what you were saying about cats to Chrissie. I think it's pretty valid when applied to dogs and cats in general.
Obviously there's plenty of bad history between the species.
However I've known a good few people with cats and dogs and they've always seemed to get on ok when living in the same house.
I dare say it can be a nightmare though.
So maybe the jury is out on that one but there's certainly every possibility they can live in harmony.
Take care Margaret and hellooooo Boris.

I'd say go ahead and get the cat, but make sure the dog has plenty of fresh drinking water available. (fur can get stuck in his throat, something fierce. !!) ... Seriously, if they grow up together, they're part of the same "pack", if not, it may be, well,...adventurous..!
