I was sorry to here about you aunt Lesley, she was very good with us when we got Carla.

Your dogs are great, both of them. They obviously get along like magic. That was really nice to see, thank you! It is very good to see other Camsail dogs too. Carla is a beauty.

Thanks for the sentiments they're appreciated Willie. The Kennel, no. My aunt and uncle had moved down south quite some time before she passed on and it seemed she had stopped breeding the dogs by then.

So that's kinda sad too but happily there's a lot of Camsail dogs still around.

Today my beautiful boy Kramer had to be put to sleep. I found myself on this site as Kramer was a Camsail Boxer from Lesley Boyle kennels. His name was Camsail Ferro and he was twelve years old. His father was an Italian dog who I can just remember the end of the name which was del infinito. Kramer was the most beautiful kind and gentle dog and we will miss him so much but we have so many happy memories to help us through this really sad time. MOIRA

I'm terribly sorry about poor Kramer. I know what a huge impact a loss like this can have. So i really do feel very badly for you. Especially as he was a Camsail pup.

It brings back a lot of less than happy feelings for me. About some of the losses I've had with Boxers.

It's not always easy to to do so close to the event but I'm glad you seem to be focusing as best as you can on all the good Kramer brought into your life. It must have been a lot of good too, over 12 years.

It's never long enough of course but that's a pretty good age for a Boxer. He must have had a nice grey face by that age.

Thanks for your kind words on the loss of our Boxer Kramer on 13th December. Yes at twelve he had a very grey face. When you looked at him from a distance he looked like he was wearing glasses. This was a far cry from the jet black mask he had in his young days. He was a beautiful brindle. I know in my heart I will have another dog in the future but at the moment memories of Kramer are enough although I really miss our walks. Best Wishes for 2010 Moira.x

Well there's no rush is there. Besides the longer you wait the more you'll likely appreciate having another dog around when you do get one.

There'll be less reminding you the new dog isn't Kramer and more reminding you how similar they are.

Well assuming you get another boxer. They are all different and yet somehow the same.

I found this by chance, I used to dog/house sit for Lesley and adopted Mia in her final years when Lesley and Ian moved down south.

It was great to see photos and know Rosie is doing well. She was always a very cheeky girl, does she still open doors? I once had the mortifying experience of sitting in the bath when Rosie opened the doors and brought the whole pack into see me, Hattie of course landed straight ontop of me in the bath too!

On a side note Kramer's father was Faustino, a lovely boy and also father of Mia. His pups all had that something extra about them.

Nice to meet you. Yes she still opens doors. Your story was funny. She is mischievous.

Rosie's great but not as good as I'd like. I hadn't posted about it here before now but she was diagnosed around February with complete heart block. Which sounds worse than it is perhaps, still it's no small matter.

It means there's some problem with the electrical signals in her heart causing the atrium and ventricles to function out of sync. As a result she has a very slow, I guess weak, heart.

It means she can't exercise as she used which is sad in itself because she was so active, despite her back legs. If she was a young dog we'd get a pacemaker put in to solve it but she's ten now. So she has some medication instead which helps her a lot.

I say that she's not great but she's not bad either, she's happy in herself and acts seemingly normally other than the exercise. Still likes to play though I try not to let her too much.

I'm sorry to hear about Mia. How old was she Janet?

I had a wee search on the web for camsail boxers and arrived here...
I have 3 white camsail boxers that we got from the lovely late Mrs.Lesley Boyle...i was so sorry to hear that she has passed.
I have an 11 year old girl from Dusty and Faustino,and her half sister whose just about to be 10 from jeanie and faustino,and a gorgeous 7 years old boy from balbir and i cant rem the his mommy...
Camsails do live on thank G_d,they are marvelous dogs....

That's so marvellous to hear! I'm sure there are still a lot of Camsail dogs out there. Which makes me very happy. Have to say that you have a far better memory than I do for family trees so forgetting just one name isn't bad at all.

Three Boxers, now that sounds a handful. Not sure I'd do well with three but I must admit being a little jealous.

How do the two bitches get along with each other?

I'm sure my aunt was and would be happy knowing your three are all together in a loving home. Well, who wouldn't be?

Sorry it took a while to respond. I don't check in here half as much as I could. What with it being a relativity untravelled little corner of the internet I usually don't need to that often.

I've also been avoiding all dog related things I can for the last little while. I lost Rosie on the 17th there and it just seems easier to try not to think about her and Boxers as much as that is possible at the moment.

I'm very happy yours seem to be doing so well though.

The girls get along great...they are together from puppyhood...i am boxer mad..even thinking of a fourth...i must be going mad.
I think i have some photos of rosie on my old and very much not updated web site...i think i met her as well...she might be a sister to one of my girls...i think...

I am sorry for your loss.

I remeber losing my first boy. I found hard to breath for days...

Yes you might have done she was with my aunt till she was 7 so there's a good chance you met her.

I think Claire that in many ways you're right. There's no reason white boxers shouldn't be accepted into the breed standard.
